アップル社が、ベルギーにある「AppleADay（一日一個のりんご）」という小さなレストラン相手に営業停止を要求していたとのこと（本家/.、IT World記事）。

「栄養バランスの良いファーストフード」をスローガンにしている「AppleADay」は、栄養士らと作成した健康メニューを売りにした、20席程度の小さなレストランである。同レストランの林檎のロゴは、緑の円に葉っぱ2枚がついただけのシンプルなもので、アップルコンピュータのロゴには似ていない。

しかしアップル社から営業停止を要求する警告状が送られてきたのだという。幸い、AppleAday経営者の友人弁護士の計らいで「コンピューターではなく、サンドイッチを作り続る」という条件を申し出た末、現在も営業を続けられているとのこと。
